The Love We Stole - Bear's Den

Fighting Inflammation - Golden Milk

Okay! This is changing my life! I discovered this recipe several weeks ago, but it tasted absolutely disgusting. Upon further research I learned I need to cook the turmeric. I couldn't simply stir a scoop into my milk. Once I started cooking the turmeric I was amazed at the difference. It's a daily drink.
Turmeric is a powerful inflammation fighter. I lost 2 lbs in the first three days of drinking this once a day (I didn't change anything else). I haven't checked the scale in a few days, but my body feels different and my depression seems less. I'm sold!

Recipe:
1tsp turmeric ( I've upped mine to 1/2 tbsp)
cinnamon
1 tsp coconut oil (this helps your body absorb the turmeric)
8oz almond or coconut milk (I've used both)
Honey to taste (you can add sugar as well if you need it to be sweeter. However, I don't)
Add all ingredients in a small pot
heat on medium
stir until all powder dissolves
Let it boil/simmer for a few minutes (make sure to taste it. If it's still bitter it's not cooked)
stir well

Those who have seen the best results get about 1 tbsp of turmeric in a day. I can only imagine the results these people are having since I'm already seeing changes.

All this wandering around

Fighting Inflammation - Avocado

I try to eat one avocado a day. It's proven to be amazing for my health (skin, hair, hormones etc). I like to get creative because spreading it on a slice of Ezekiel bread with a little salt gets boring. Lately I've been blending into a smoothie.

Recipe:
1 avocado
1 banana (if I have some)
1 tbsp honey (raw organic is best)
Cinnamon
1/2 tbsp Flax seeds
8-16 oz Almond or Coconut milk (depends how thick you want it)
1-2 tbsp of almond butter (I don't add this every time. I honestly like it without better)
Blend until smooth and drink with a straw

This is my breakfast most days

Mood Blanket

This is my newest crochet project. Yes, I abandoned the other one. I was not inspired by it anymore and it was no longer enjoyable. I may pick it back up later, but one thing is for sure, sparkly yarn is hard to work with! My newest project is a simple accent blanket for my Master bedroom. The colors calm me and I really enjoy the simply granny squares. <3 When I finish all my squares I will probably attach them with a crisp white yarn; that's still undecided.
